COACHING CO- CORDINATORS
We are pleased to appoint Ian Connelly and Andrew Wright as our junior and senior age coaching coordinators. Ian will look after the Senior age groups from Under 13 to Under 17s and Andrew, U8s through to U12s.
Both are experienced football administrators and coaches and have heavy involvement in the Junior Club. The coaching administrators will be the coaches point of contact regarding all things football. From training schedules, ground allocations, football equipment and initial concerns or issues any parent may feel they need to discuss. Coaching Co ordinators will also assist in making sure our coaches all have the correct levels of coaching accreditation and with any matters they may need help with throughout the season.
FITNESS & CONDITIONING APPOINTMENT
We have also been very fortunate to appoint Patrick VanDyk to the position of Fitness and Condition Coordinator. Patrick is a teacher at St Josephs college and has extensive experience in fitness and conditioning . Patrick will assist any coach that would like help in setting out a fitness program that is age specific and will assist coaches in the implementation and measurement of their program. He is also an umpire and Umpire advisor.
Over the course of this season we hope that Patrick will also be able the assist the club in formulating a standardised warm up and warm down program that will be uniform across all age groups. The philosophy behind this will be that all players through all years will be conditioned to warm up and down in the same way and it will help with the transition from coach to coach and year to year.
2013 Coach appointmentsThe FTG Eagles JFC is happy to announce the following coaching appointments for the 2013 season.
This season we have grown to a level never seen before at the FTG Eagles. We are bigger than ever, with more players than ever registered. We have succeeded in launching the All Abilities side that incredibly achieved the impossible and won the Premiership in their 1st season. We had 6 sides play competitive age finals and fielded more sides than ever before – 16 (inc the AA side).
Come grand final day we had 4 sides play off for the Premiership Cup and got over the line in 15C, 12C and the AA side. The U14B side were also worthy grand finalists in 2012. We fielded 2x U8 sides, 1x U9 and 2 xU10 sides. All non competitive sides had big numbers and we hope the growth of our club is maintained at a manageable level in 2013 and beyond.
